The customization of lightweight pull rod hydraulic cylinders has been widely used in today's society. So, how should we maintain them during use? 1、 Installation precautions for hydraulic cylinders
1. The hydraulic cylinder and surrounding environment should be clean. The fuel tank should be sealed to prevent contamination. The pipelines and fuel tanks should be cleaned to prevent any loose iron oxide and other debris. Clean with a lint free cloth or special paper. Do not use hemp thread and adhesive as sealing materials. According to the design requirements, pay attention to the changes in oil temperature and oil pressure for hydraulic oil. When unloaded, unscrew the exhaust bolt for exhaust.
2. The piping connections must not have any looseness.
3. The base of the hydraulic cylinder must have sufficient stiffness, otherwise when pressurized, the cylinder barrel will bow upwards, causing the piston rod to bend.
Before installing the hydraulic cylinder into the system, the parameters on the hydraulic cylinder label should be compared with the parameters at the time of ordering.
5. The central axis of the movable cylinder with a fixed footrest should be concentric with the centerline of the load force to avoid causing lateral forces, which can easily cause seal wear and piston damage. When installing a hydraulic cylinder for moving objects, keep the cylinder parallel to the direction of movement of the moving object on the guide rail surface, and its parallelism is generally not greater than 0.05mm/m.
6. Install the sealing cover screws of the hydraulic cylinder block, and the tightening degree should ensure that the piston moves flexibly throughout the full stroke without any obstruction or uneven weight. Tightening the screws too tightly will increase resistance and accelerate wear; Excessive looseness can cause oil leakage.
7. For hydraulic cylinders with exhaust valves or exhaust plugs, the exhaust valve or exhaust plug must be installed at a high point to remove air.
8. The axial ends of the cylinder cannot be fixed firmly, and one end must remain floating to prevent the influence of thermal expansion. Due to factors such as hydraulic pressure and thermal expansion inside the cylinder, there is axial expansion and contraction. If the two ends of the cylinder are fixed tightly, it will cause deformation of various parts of the cylinder.
9. The clearance between the guide sleeve and the piston rod should meet the requirements.
10. Pay attention to the parallelism and straightness between the cylinder and the guide rail, and the deviation should be within 0.1 millimeters per full length. If the total length of the busbar on the hydraulic cylinder exceeds the tolerance, the bottom surface of the hydraulic cylinder bracket or the contact surface of the machine tool should be scraped to meet the requirements; If the side busbar exceeds the tolerance, the hydraulic cylinder and fixing screws can be loosened, the positioning lock can be removed, and the accuracy of the side busbar can be corrected.
11. When disassembling hydraulic cylinders, be careful not to damage the threads at the top of the piston rod, the cylinder port threads, and the surface of the piston rod. It is strictly prohibited to use a hammer to strike the cylinder barrel and piston surface. If there is damage to the cylinder hole and piston surface, sanding is not allowed. It is important to ensure that the hydraulic cylinder and surrounding environment are clean. The fuel tank should be sealed to prevent contamination. The pipelines and fuel tanks should be cleaned to prevent any loose iron oxide and other debris. Clean with a lint free cloth or special paper. 2、 Proper maintenance and upkeep
Customized hydraulic cylinder manufacturers remind that hydraulic oil should be replaced regularly during use, system filters should be cleaned to ensure cleanliness and extend service life.
Secondly, the oil cylinder should undergo a full extension and full contraction test run of 5 strokes before running under load each time it is used. Why do you do this? This can exhaust the air in the system, preheat each system, and effectively avoid the presence of air or water in the system, which can cause gas explosion (or burning) in the cylinder body. This can damage the sealing components and cause faults such as internal leakage in the cylinder.
Thirdly, control the system temperature well. Excessive oil temperature can reduce the service life of seals, and long-term high oil temperature can cause deformation or even complete failure of seals.
Fourthly, protect the outer surface of the piston rod to prevent damage to the seal caused by bumps and scratches. Regularly clean the dust ring of the dynamic seal of the oil cylinder and the mud and sand on the exposed piston rod to prevent difficult to clean dirt adhering to the surface of the piston rod from entering the oil cylinder and damaging the piston, cylinder barrel or seal.
Fifth, regularly check the connection parts such as threads and bolts, and tighten them immediately if any looseness is found.
Sixth, regularly lubricate the connecting parts to prevent rust or abnormal wear in an oil-free state.
