JB series swinging cylinder

In the customization of hydraulic cylinders, the swing cylinder or swing motor is composed of a cylinder body, stator, rotor, and blades. The stator and cylinder are fixed on the same blade and connected to the rotor (i.e. output shaft). There are two air ports on the cylinder block. When port A takes in air, port B exhausts, and the compressed gas pushes the blades to drive the rotor to roll counterclockwise. Otherwise, it rolls clockwise. Therefore, it is also a dual effect cylinder.
The rotor can be a single blade or a double blade. The swinging viewpoint generally includes: 90180270. Swinging cylinders are generally used in situations where installation orientation is limited, such as the rotation of fixtures and the rotation of workbenches.
The working principle of the swinging (rotating) cylinder in hydraulic cylinder customization:
(1) Process one, reset. Connect the air pressure (0.1-0.8MPa) from air port B, and exhaust the atmosphere from air port A. The piston and piston rod retract backwards. When the piston touches the right end of the cylinder block, it stops, and the piston rod end is in the position of point a. This condition is called a reset condition.
(2) Process 2, homework. Connect the air pressure (0.1-0.8MPa) from air port A, and then extend the piston rod and piston forward from air port B. When the piston touches the front cover, it stops moving. At this moment, the piston rod end is in the direction of point b, and the interval between ab is the stroke S of the piston. This situation is the working condition of the rotating cylinder.
(3) Repeat the process in this cycle, causing the cylinder to rotate and the piston with the piston rod to move back and forth.
How to choose the swinging (rotating) cylinder in hydraulic cylinder customization
1. The first step is to convert the piston area of the cylinder F=n * P * S based on your required output. In the formula, F is the required output force, P is the system pressure, S is the piston area, and n is the safety factor. Generally, the horizontal application of the cylinder is taken as 0.7, and the vertical application is taken as 0.5. The piston area is then converted to the piston diameter, which is indicated by the diameter of the cylinder.
2. Secondly, the stroke of the rotating cylinder is selected based on the interval between movements. If it needs to be compressed, it usually takes 3-5mm. Then select the installation method according to your needs, whether it is corner seat, flange or earring installation. Just choose whether you need auxiliary components such as travel detection switches. Note: The main data for cylinders are cylinder diameter and stroke.
3. The force condition of the rotating cylinder during operation is affected by many factors, including the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the cylinder. The cylinder also needs to accept the reaction force of steam flowing out of the stationary part. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the selection of cylinders. If a suitable cylinder cannot be selected, it may not only damage the equipment but also delay the operation.
